Why You Should Never Sell Without an Agent
Many sellers think that managing their own home sale would be much easier than having an agent assist them in selling their home. After all, who knows the home better than the owner? However, having a real estate professional involved is one of the most important steps of selling your home. Here are a few reasons why you should never sell your home without an agent to assist you.
1. Agents know your market best. They are able to determine what other options buyers may be looking into, and who the audience will be for your particular home.
2. Agents are experts at dealing with challenges. If issues are found in your home during the inspection, the agent will know how to handle the situation. They know how to work with the buyer and the buyer’s agent to make sure that things continue to move forward smoothly despite any challenges that may arise.
3. Agents are skilled at marketing your home. They know exactly what photographer, stager, etc. they need to use to make your home look its best. They are able to see your home from a different perspective, and capture it in its best light so that a buyer can see all the potential it holds.
4. The internet makes it very easy to look up information on your home, but oftentimes, the value of your home that you find online is not accurate. The real estate agent will be able to give you an accurate valuation of your home using comparables and data based on their expertise.
5. A great agent will help you to prepare your home for the market before listing. They can use their knowledge of what will need to be done to help you take the necessary steps to get where you need to go to get your home on the market as quickly as possible.
